To apply for funding through The Artist Hub: go to: http://creative-capital.org/granteeadmin/users/login and use your email address as your login and your last name (no caps) as your password, then go to “Money & Services.” A link to the funding request form is there under your grand total.


Our Funding Categories

• Initial Award – $10,000 upon signing your letter of agreement.
• Infrastructure Funds – $5,000 to strengthen your personal & professional infrastructure.
• Special Opportunities – Up to $2,500 to enhance your project or benefit your career.
• Project Funds – Up to $32,500 for development, production, promotion, project premiere and expansion.


The Details

Infrastructure Funding – Up to $5,000

To strengthen your personal/professional infrastructure and cover technical or administrative needs. Artists have used these funds to buy computers and other equipment, hire assistants, take a class, build a website or hire consultants. You don’t have to apply for the full amount at one time; you may apply for this award incrementally and as needed. To apply, submit a Funding Request on the Artist Hub.
Prerequisites: You must have received your initial funding and attended an Orientation Meeting.


Special Opportunities Funding – Up to $2,500

May be used to help grantees travel to conferences, festivals or otherwise maximize an opportunity such as an exhibition or presentation. We also reserve a portion of this fund for coaching and professional development services. To apply, submit a Funding Request on the Artist Hub.
Prerequisites: You must have received your Initial Funding, received some or all of your Infrastructure Funding, attended a Creative Capital Retreat and/or participated in our Strategic Planning Program.


Project Funding – Up to $32,500

To provide continued support of production, presentation, promotion or documentation of a project. Please note that due to limited funds we may not be able to award the full amount requested or award this support to all applicants.
Prerequisites: You must have received your Initial Funding, received some or all of your Infrastructure Funding, attended a Creative Capital Retreat and/or participated in our Strategic Planning Program and demonstrated that you have made progress on your project.


Project Funding includes 2 sub-categories:
Project Premiere Funding – Normally up to $7,500
Reserved for project marketing, promotion and/or documentation of the designated Creative Capital premiere.
Prerequisites: You must have received your Initial Funding, received some or all of your Infrastructure Funding, attended a Retreat and/or participated in our Strategic Planning Program, demonstrated that you’ve made progress on your project and participated in a Premiere Stakeholder Meeting (Premiere).
Expansion Project Funding – Normally up to $5,000
If your project has a public life beyond its premiere, you may apply for funds to enhance its longevity and impact. Together, we will evaluate the project and determine its potential success in future iterations. We may provide funds for administrative support, promotional efforts or special opportunities.
Due to limited resources we may not be able to award the full amount requested or award this funding to all projects.

General Funding Policies
Maximum total available for your project: $50,000. This amount is not guaranteed to all projects. Funds are distributed in response to your engagement with services, need and availability of funds.
The average amount of our support for a project is now approximately $37,000.
In any one request, you may ask for a minimum of $1,000. Please group items together if necessary.
We do not release more than $10,000 to a given project per month.
Due to burdensome tax implications for you, we do not process funding requests in December.
We contact grantees who haven’t completed their projects within three years to discuss options for assistance.
Every project has its own timeline. We may review our support to determine what’s best for the project.
• We expect the normal duration of a project to be 12 to 36 months following initial funding.
